Opportunities
for
Government Agencies, Institutions and the Private Sector
The
organizers are seeking general support from government agencies,
institutions and businesses ranging from $2500 to $20,000 and higher.
Your support of the Congress will help us keep registration fees
low and provide opportunities to present research findings to professionals
working in the fields of fire ecology and fire management. Lower
fees will help broaden participation by federal, state, and local
government employees and students in the field of fire ecology,
fire management and related disciplines.
Sponsorships of $2500, $5000, and $10,000
Support dollars will be used to underwrite the cost of recruiting
attendees, providing pre-congress publicity, providing travel grants
to students in the field, travel support to speakers, researchers
who otherwise might not be able to attend, local transportation
support for field trips, and support of short courses and workshops.
Sponsorships
of $20,000 and Higher
Support dollars will be used to underwrite the development of sessions
that relate to the Congress theme, specialized tracks, or sessions
that help further sponsoring agency research or improvements in
operations. Sponsoring agencies may also use this forum to report
on results of on-going research. Funds may also be used to cover
the costs of organizing, printing, and distributing Congress proceedings
or making them more widely accessible by posting them on the Internet.

sector support is also being solicited to cover food service and
Congress logistics not normally covered by government and institution
funding.
